Prolapsus Surgery

When deciding on surgery due to uterine prolapse, the patient's age, fertility desire, and surgical risk should be considered. It is very important to be examined by a physician, experienced in the treatment of prolapsus, because there are many different surgical techniques and you need to be examined very well to decide which one is suitable for you.

Your prolapsed organs may be your bladder (cystocele), bowel (rectocele), or uterus (uterine prolapse). If you also have urinary incontinence, additional surgery may be required. It is possible to perform prolapse surgeries without removing your uterus. With the closed surgery technique, it is possible to replace your prolapsed tissue.
